Room for Cream
Season 4
This subversive soap opera situated itself in the fictional Sappho, MA, a lesbian enclave and life experiment that is paradoxically both separatist and inclusive by nature of its world-building aspirations.
Using cafe lights, cardboard, and color, the lighting transformed the lobby of the New Museum into a queer coffee shop, a raging river, and a field outside a magical barrier that is only broken by singing Tori Amos' "Little Earthquakes"
